Terms version: 2026-09-06.2
Rented equipment
The rented items are a JBL PartyBox 520 portable speaker and its accessories. The rental includes: the speaker, the battery, the power cable, a protective transport bag, 2 JBL EasySing wireless mics and the USB-C receiver for the mics.
The replacement value of the speaker is approximately 700–800 €; the replacement value of the mics (pair with receiver) is approximately 160 €. The renter’s liability for damage covers all rented equipment, including the accessories.
Price and payment
The rental price depends on the duration: 1 day 35 €, 2–3 days 28 € per day, 4–6 days 22 € per day, 7 days (a week) 135 € for the whole period, and 22 € for each further day beyond seven.
Rental days are counted inclusively: both the first and the last day of the rental count. For an individual booking, the price calculated from the scale above and confirmed when the booking is submitted applies; that price is shown on the booking status page.
Payment is made at pickup, in cash or by bank transfer; the transfer details are not published yet and the lessor provides them when the booking is agreed.
Deposit
At pickup, the renter leaves a deposit of 100 € (cash). The deposit is returned in full when the equipment is returned undamaged.
The lessor’s claims for damage to the equipment are settled from the deposit first. Any part of the deposit exceeding the established damage is returned to the renter immediately, and no later than within 3 working days. If the damage exceeds the deposit, the renter pays the difference within 8 days of receiving the written statement of costs.
Pickup, return and identification
Pickup and return take place in person. Location: Ljubljana; we agree the exact address before pickup. Pickup and return times: by arrangement (08:00–21:00).
At pickup, the lessor verifies the renter’s identity by viewing a valid identity document (identity card, passport or driving licence).
Only the following is recorded in the rental contract or the handover record: first and last name, residential address, and the type and number of the identity document. The document is never copied, photographed or scanned, and is never taken from or withheld from the renter (in line with the Slovenian Identity Card Act, ZOIzk-1).
The data from the previous paragraph is processed to conclude and perform the rental contract and to pursue any claims arising from the rental, and is deleted no later than 30 days after the equipment is returned and all obligations are settled; if a claim exists, it is kept until the claim is finally resolved or the limitation periods expire.
Handover record and equipment condition
At pickup, the lessor and the renter inspect the equipment together and test that it works. The parts handed over, their condition and any deficiencies noticed are entered in the handover record, which both parties sign. The renter has the right to have every deficiency they notice entered in the record.
The renter is deemed to have received the equipment in faultless condition and complete as listed in the record, except for the deficiencies expressly noted in it. This presumption is rebuttable: the renter may prove that a deficiency already existed at pickup.
The presumption in the previous paragraph does not apply to hidden defects, that is, defects that could not be noticed during a careful inspection and functional test at pickup. The renter must report a hidden defect to the lessor without delay upon noticing it.
At return, the parties inspect the equipment together again and enter their findings in the return record. The condition at return is assessed with normal wear from ordinary use taken into account.
Liability and damage
From pickup until return, the renter handles the equipment with due care and uses it in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, the lessor’s instructions and these terms.
The renter is liable for damage to, destruction, loss or theft of the equipment or its parts between pickup and return. The renter is not liable for: (a) normal wear from ordinary use, (b) faults and defects originating in the condition of the equipment at pickup or in causes on the lessor’s side, and (c) damage the renter proves occurred without their fault and without the fault of persons they entrusted the equipment to.
Compensation covers the actual repair costs. If repair is not possible or its costs would exceed the value of the equipment, compensation covers the replacement value of equivalent equipment, taking into account its age and condition at pickup. The lessor provides the renter with a written, itemised statement of costs (a service estimate, invoice or other suitable evidence). The renter may object to the statement within 8 days.
The equipment is splash-proof (IPX4) but not waterproof. Use in the rain is not permitted; outdoors, the equipment must be placed under a roof or a canopy.
The renter may not lend or sublet the equipment to third parties.
If the equipment fails through no fault of the renter, the lessor refunds the renter a proportionate part of the rental fee for the days the equipment could not be used.
This section does not exclude or limit the lessor’s liability for damage caused to the renter by the lessor or by a person the lessor is responsible for, nor any other rights the renter has as a consumer under the law.
Late return
If the equipment is returned late, a fee of 35 € is charged for each started day of delay.
Cancellation
The renter may cancel the booking free of charge no later than 48 hours before the agreed pickup, using the private link to their booking, which carries a cancel button.
The lessor may cancel the booking in the event of force majeure or equipment failure. In that case, the lessor refunds all payments received.
Right of withdrawal (ZVPot-1)
Renting the equipment for a specific date is a leisure service with a specific date or period of performance. Under the Slovenian Consumer Protection Act (ZVPot-1), the 14-day right of withdrawal from a distance contract does not apply to such contracts.
Dispute resolution
The lessor does not recognise any out-of-court consumer dispute resolution provider (IRPS) as competent for resolving consumer disputes.
Any disputes are resolved amicably. If an amicable resolution is not possible, the competent court decides.
Final provisions
These terms and the rental relationship are governed by the law of the Republic of Slovenia. Should any provision be invalid, this does not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
Governing text
These terms are published in Slovenian and English. In case of any discrepancy between the versions, the Slovenian text prevails.
